Master of Arts in Teaching

Master of Arts in Teaching

For more than ten years Trinity International University has been helping working adults become licensed teachers in the State of Illinois. In our Master of Arts in Teaching degree, you will gain the experience you need to be an excellent teacher and a spiritually sensitive educator. This program seeks to develop highly qualified Christian teachers who view teaching as a mission; they nurture students, reflect critically on practice, and facilitate classroom experience to maximize the potential of all learners.

What courses will I take?

The MA in Teaching offers two tracks for students looking to be licensed as teachers in Illinois. Students may choose between a focus in Elementary or Secondary education depending on their career goals. All course work seeks to integrate biblical thought with training in best practices in the field of education. Students are trained to think holistically about the classroom, engaging students in culturally sensitive ways.
